19 September, 2006, 18:18 JAFFNA: TAMIL TIGERS NOT WANTING THE WORLD to know how they have been defeated at MUHAMMALAI, NAGARKOVIL and KILALY fired artillery at a Media Team traveling in Northern JAFFNA around 12.30 p.m. today (19). Four Soldiers were killed and two were injured during the incident. The Team comprised of journalists from BBC, REUTERS, AP,AFP,HINDU, RFI and many other local electronic media agencies. The Troops took quick measures to get the journalists from the area to safer places and no journalist were injured. The Reporters eye witnessed as to how the media team in armed convoys came under Artillery attack by the tigers. These Reporters had long been waiting to move to the peninsula to report the world of the true facts in the theatre. However, a team of civil servants including the Government Agent of JAFFNA briefed the journalists as to how the Security Forces and the Government maintain the smooth functioning of the administration system.
