Sri Lanka: Jaffna-based newspaper staffer reportedly abducted on 3 Nov

A circulation staffer at the Jaffna daily, Yaazh Thinakkural, has been reported missing after taking papers for distribution from Yaazh Thinakkural office in K.K.S Road at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, his wife registered complaint at the Thellippa'lai police. The staffer is feared abducted while attending to his daily duty in Eazhaalai area where a Sri Lanka Army (SLA) camp is located.

Cheryn Chithratharan, 36, the father of one child, from Pidaariyamman Koayiladi in Aanaikoaddai, had been working for Namathu Eezha Naadu daily before joining Yaazh Thinakkural.

The relatives of Chithratharan had seen him last in the area of the SLA camp in Eazhaalai, according to his wife's complaint.
