Al-Jazeera television at 1630 gmt on 22 July conducts a live telephone interview with Ghassan Bin-Jiddu, chief of Al-Jazeera Beirut bureau. Bin-Jiddu says that the teams of Al-Jazeera television and Al-Arabiya television came under an Israeli air attack while on their way from Marj Uyun to Hasbayya. Bin-Jiddu says that the teams were targeted by an Israeli air raid before reaching Hasbayya Bridge, noting that all vehicles carried TV markings. Bin-Jiddu says that the teams left the vehicles and fled the scene towards the fields, stressing that none of the two teams were injured in the Israeli air raid. Concluding, Bin-Jiddu says that it seems that there is an Israeli desire to hinder the work of media teams there, which might indicate that the Israeli forces intend to carry out large-scale operations in the area.
