Several of our media colleagues were attacked by a group affiliated with the Lebanese Forces Party [Christian group lead by Samir Ja'ja] while they were covering the deployment of the Lebanese Army in Ayn Ibil Village in southern Lebanon today. Our correspondent there said that Husayn Sa'd, correspondent for Al-Jadid Television, Al-Safir newspaper, and Reuters; NBN Television correspondent Bilal Qashmar, and Al-Alam Channel correspondent Muhammad Gharib were severely beaten by members of the Lebanese Forces Party while they were reporting on the detonation of a cluster bomb by the Lebanese Army in Ayn Ibil Village near Bint Jubayl.
