Dr Feinstein also runs a self-help facility via the INSI website www.newssafety.com for those who suspect they might be suffering from traumatic stress.

His advice is completely confidential.

Dr Feinstein, a professor of psychiatry at Toronto University, is one of the world's foremost specialists in journalists and stress. He is author of "Journalists Under Fire - The Psychological Hazards of Covering War" and "Dangerous Lives: War and the Men and Women Who Report It".
