Gaza, 18 December: The Sawt al-Hurriyah [Voice of Freedom] radio station in Gaza has announced the cessation of all its local, Arab, and international news coverage. In a statement that reached Ma'an, station manager Majdi al-Arabid said that the decision entails stopping all newscasts and reporting, and focusing on political, social, educational, and sports programmes. Al-Arabid further added that this decision was made due to the deteriorating security situation and threats on station employees.
